The idea of Community Consultation is to broaden the contents of the map by offering citizens a chance to participate in three different ways:

- Through Internet, neighbours can register as users and add new info on the map by filling in a form.

- Through video-installations at local cultural, art, and community centres throughout Asturias. Mapping Asturias brings the consultation to a local street level with map projections, in this way giving visitors a chance to contribute "in situ" through direct participation, without the need to be connected to internet.
